Southern Charm from the middle to one end of a small strip mall on Astronaut Blvd. If it’s a very busy time, the parking options may be limited

The decor is low-key and not overtly country style. Daily specials are listed on a whiteboard. This is definitely a locals place as I hear many of the servers talking to the various clientele by first names.

I kept it simple and ordered the Country Breakfast, bacon crisp, nothing sadder than limp undercooked bacon. My wife wasn’t too hungry and asked for a half order of Eggs Benedict, but they wouldn’t accommodate her. That’s unfortunate. She then orders an English muffin and a poached egg, using some of my meals’ sausage gravy as a workaround.

The Country Breakfast is more than enough for one person. The sausage gravy and fresh made biscuit were excellent. The eggs were good but lacked that taste one gets with really fresh eggs. The hash browns were dry. But the bacon was great! All things considered, it was average, with a couple of standout items.

Two cups of coffee, a small OJ, and the aforementioned, and we got out for just under $28. The wait staff were friendly and just terrific. Please be aware that if you use a CC to pay your bill, you’ll pay an additional 4% fee.
