Food was great, especially the biscuit although my grits were too salty to eat (it might have been my fault, I added butter before tasting them and might have added too much). Prices were great! The place was pretty warm inside and I was sweating.
It was indeed charming but some of the signs were a little much. Where I was sitting I was staring right at at a sign that said “We’re politically incorrect, we say Merry Christmas and support our troops/police and say God Bless America and if you are offended you can LEAVE”. I mean, do people actually get offended by those things? I’m certainly not, but the sign put an aggressive atmosphere on the whole dining experience to me. A simple “Thank you for your service” sign and Christmas decorations when it’s December would have felt more welcoming. Like we’re all just trying to eat some breakfast not try to figure out if we fit the right political view to be able to eat here lol.
The front entrance was pretty crowded with people waiting and paying, it was hard to feel not in the way.
